Process Monitoring Electrical Engineer

Job Introduction

Working with a team of engineers to develop and deploy new technologies into production environments. This is a dynamic role, which would suit a time served electrical apprentice or technically trained individual.

A part of this role will require site visits to productions facilities in UK, Europe, America and Asia-Pacific thus prospective applicants must be able to demonstrate the flexibility to travel and spend periods away from home.

Main Responsibility

  • Project manage and support new developments, system upgrades and on-site proving trials.
  • Deployment of process monitoring equipment into customer plants, providing technical support on installation/commissioning.
  • Training plant personnel as required, Ensuring maximum positive impact of technology.
  • Implementation of solutions to fix short- and long-term issues on process monitoring equipment.
  • Ongoing day-to-day remote support of deployed equipment.
  • Preparation of documentation, training material and SOP’s.
  • Creation of electrical drawings and BOMs.
  • Mentoring our junior staff
  • Safe working - understand and ensure is undertaken with safety as a focus.
  • Commitment to delivery of projects within budget and to an agreed timescale.
  • Focus on achieving results, meeting objectives and self-development.
  • Team worker who can discuss, interact and work closely with other members of the team and different departments across multiple engineering discipline.

The Ideal Candidate

Required Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience in an electrical environment
  • Solidworks and Autocad
  • Programmable Logic controller / Automation
  • Windows operating system configuration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word/Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communicator
  • Safety mindset - this occupation sits within an industry with a high level of safety critical activities
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Team player

 

 

Desirable Experience

  • Prior experience of can making (2 or 3 piece) would be extremely advantageous

Package Description

Location: Wantage OX12 9BP

Salary: £ £30,000 - £40,000

Working hours: Monday to Friday : (9:00 – 17:00)
