Job Introduction
We are seeking applications from self-motivated Production Engineers to specialise in the Printing and Decorating element of the can-making process. Full training will be provided so if you possess the drive to work on your own initiative and pride yourself on making a difference, then this role is for you!
Main Responsibility
As a member of the production line crew, you will be responsible for:
- Running, setting, adjusting, and maintaining production machinery to produce quality printed cans to ISO 9001 standards
- Showing a commitment to quality as well as health and safety
- Maintaining a supply of raw material and inspecting it for defects or poor quality
- Continuing a good standard of housekeeping and supporting the reduction of downtime across the lines
- Maximising the use of "line downtime" by assisting in the problem area, undertaking cross-line support or housekeeping duties, reacting to downtime in order to minimise line build-backs and shunting
The Ideal Candidate
Required Education and Qualifications
- Level 3 City & Guilds/Apprenticeship, or equivalent, in Off-Set Printing
Beneficial Knowledge and Experience
- Printing / Decorating experience
- Experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
- A commitment to Health and Safety
- A 'can-do' attitude
- Continuous Improvement mind-set
- Experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment

Salary : £44,000 - £48,346 including shift premium
Hours : Continental Based Shift Rota, attending 2 x 12-hour days followed by 2 x 12-hour nights, then 4 days off.
