About this opportunity

We are now looking for an HR Officer based in Peterborough, UK. The position will report to the HR Manager.

This is an incredible opportunity to join Crown in a brand-new role and become one of the ‘first feet on the ground’ for the new manufacturing plant that is currently undergoing construction.

Main Responsibility

Main Responsibilities
• Support the Plant operation within HR administration, payroll, recruitment, development, and retention of employees
• Ensure application and development of Human Resources Local and Group Policies
• Act as the Site Coordinator for professional and effective formal communication, both internally and externally
• Deliver effective HR administration services and processes to ensure compliance whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Ensure compliance from an internal audit perspective around SOX Controls
• Support, advise and coach managers regarding employee relations, employment law, best practices and internal policies, processes, and procedures
• Sit in on grievance / disciplinary meetings undertaking notetaking
• Assist with recruitment, interviews, and the Starter/Leaver process, including all of the administration around these activities on our ATS, SuccessFactors (recruitment requests, data maintenance, etc)
• Liaise with the Payroll team for monthly payroll reports
• Contribute to the continuous development of Crown’s culture of employee engagement, commitment, and value
• Assist with employer brand awareness activities in the local community where required

The Ideal Candidate

Required Education and Qualifications
• An HR generalist with CIPD level 5 or above
 

Required Knowledge and Experience
• Previous experience of 3 to 4 years in a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrable record of working effectively in HR administration, payroll, and recruitment along with the ability to shortlist prospective candidates on job boards
• Previous experience in providing guidance to the team regarding HR administration processes and systems (SAP SuccessFactors)

Crown Peterborough will benefit from state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and modern practices to support high-speed and highly automated beverage can making capable of producing 3 billion cans per annum. The Plant will operate 24 hours per day on a continuous shift system, 360 days per annum and will employ approximately 280 people.
